What We Do

Classroom Visits

We bring beekeeping programs to  neighborhood schools and to community groups. Our observation hive is always a hit and offers many opportunities for learning about honeybees.

Education Partnerships

For the 2016 beekeeping season we are partnering with Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation to teach beekeeping to students in their after school programs.

Equipment Donation Program

It can be expensive to start beekeeping. We solicit donations of beekeeping equipment for newly trained beekeepers who want to keep bees but can't afford the cost of a hive and bees.

Beekeeping Classes

We offer scholarships to the beekeeping classes we give with Chicago Honey Co-op, for new beekeepers without the means to pay the fee.
