Locally produced honey can sell for a premium price and be a source of extra income. One of the barriers to beekeeping is the cost of equipment, supplies and bees. This can run anywhere from $500.00 to $700.00. In order to make beekeeping more accessible, we want to work with beekeeping manufacturers, beekeeping clubs and individuals to acquire new hive components, equipment and bees for new beekeepers with limited funds to start beekeeping.
